2007 - Top 10 Albums
CORPSE-ers, now is the time to make those lists...We need numbers 1-10, and then I will tally/compile the lists into one all-powerful ALIEN CORPSE top 10 of 2007. Add your lists to this post with initials.
For those of you not with us last year, a #1 album will be given 10 points and a #10 album will be given 1 point, etc...the album with the highest # of points will be ranked #1 on our compiled list (I'm looking at you, Neon Bible). So, Jason, that means you will have to rank your list 1-10...we appreciate our art ordinately around here, dammit.

I did start this before your list was posted Jason...but my internet totally went nuts-o for 12 hours or so.
I hope you don't mind making an actual list...I like your idea - I'll put my everything I listened to list as a comment on your post.
My top 10 would remain the same. I ordered the entire list. Does that mean I can leave it, or do you want me to re-post a top 10 for aesthetic reasons?

10. 23, Blonde Redhead. Shoegaze-y and star-gazing.
9. Some Loud Thunder, CYHSY. Yankee Go Home is my favorite.
8. Autumn of the Seraphs, Pinback. Makes me wish Fugazi would put out a new album.
7. Our Ill Wills, Shout Out Louds. Conor Obert vocals + Cure cutesy-ness.
6. Boxer, The National. Bruce Springsteen vocals + Interpol-esque angularity
5. Friend and Foe, Menomena. They claim a computer program writes all of their songs. Yeah right, but this is truly original.
4 (tie). Strawberry Jam, Animal Collective/Person Pitch, Panda Bear. Teenage symphonies to doG.
3. Because of the Times, Kings of Leon. Let's hope the Followills get saved and start writing some tasty riffage for Jesus.
2. Neon Bible, Arcade Fire. Recorded in a church. Wouldn't it be cool if a worship band aped the Arcade Fire song and started writing modern hymns? Don't deny it; it would be cool. (At Setapart 07, the Wesleyan Youth Convention, "Wake Up" from Funeral was the song played before EVERY rally.)
1. In Rainbows, Radiohead. To date, I still have never listened to the entirety of "Hail to the Thief"; it's too paranoid and too suffocating. Some paranoia is present on In Rainbows, but this time it's not the only emotion. In Rainbows has songs about family, the afterlife, and a even a great love song, "All I Need." Thom's vocals have so much more SOUL to them, as well. My favorite band of the year. (By the way, did you see them cover New Order's "Ceremony" on their webcast in December?)

9. No I in Threesome, Interpol. Paul is using the threesome as a metaphor, right?

1. All My Friends, LCD Soundsystem. I love dance tracks with heartfelt lyrics and real emotion (see New Order's "Here to Stay"). Plus John Cale and Franz Ferdinand covered this song this year. How could it not be number one?
